This Privacy Policy describes what information we gather from you, how we use that information and what we do to protect it. By using the Storage of Mid-America website, you are expressly consenting to the information handling practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect From You

Our websites’ servers collect and retain technical information regarding visits to our website such as the IP address assigned to the computer visiting the site, the type of browser used by a visitor and the operating system running the user’s connections to the service. This data is not linked to you. It is used in the aggregate to analyze the ways in which our site is used, and how we can improve the user experience. Storage of Mid-America uses your personal information in the following general ways: To provide you with our self storage services, to allow for your identification and authentication onto the website, to contact you for billing and administrative functions, and for internal research and reporting purposes.

The Storage of Mid-America website contains links to and advertisements for sites operated by third parties whose policies regarding the handling of personal information may differ from ours. While we endeavor to associate only with reputable sites, Storage of Mid-America cannot be responsible for the information handling practices of these other sites.

Our Security Practices

Our internal data security policies restrict access to customers’ personal information to authorized employees, agents and subcontractors with a “need to know.” These persons may use our customers’ personal information for Storage of Mid-America business purposes only. Our employees are bound by our policies to maintain the confidentiality of our customers’ personal information. Employees who violate their confidentiality obligations are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that are designed to guard our customers’ personal information. For example, for the security of your online visit to, we may make use of secure server software (SSL) and firewalls to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. By using our web site or providing personal information to us, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy and administrative issues relating to your use of our site or your account with us. Unless you indicate otherwise, we may notify you using the most current email address you provided to us.

Deposits, Refunds and Pro-rated Rent

Deposits, Refunds, and Pro-Rated Rent policies are stipulated in your Storage of Mid-America Rental Agreement. In general:

A lease commences on the beginning lease date and terminates on the last day of the current month. The rent for this rental period is prorated. After the initial rental period, the lease will be automatically renewed for one (1) month rental periods.

No refunds are made following move-in.

If the monthly rent is not paid on or before the 10th day of each month that the lease is in effect, you will be considered to be in default.

The administration fee at the beginning of the new rental period for the storage unit includes the lock.

Late payment charges, lien charges, cut lock fees and other special fees are in accordance with your specific rental agreement.

This policy is effective as of August 30, 2017. As we update and expand our services, we may make changes to this policy. If the changes result in materially less protection for your personal information than that provided in this policy, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and obtain your consent to the changes before using information that we have previously collected.
